About

Conceived in 1999, 2bers are not a “music group”, they are a music plant. A factory where songwriting, production, emceeing and live musicianship happens under one roof. The visionary duo, BlesInfinite (Luke Hale) and Eph’Sharpe (Colin Troy), formed a creative partnership with live musicans in preparation for their first major release The History of Our Future (2005).  The partnership marked a paradigm shift in the 2bers’ sound, and as a result, they’ve been changing minds and shifting bodies ever since. With drums, bass, keys/cello, backup vocals and turntables, the 2bers can perform as a seven-piece band or a Hip Hop duo. With two studio releases post-History (Children of a Mortal Sun 2008 & BlesInfinite’s Nine Years Later 2009), the 2bers already have two releases scheduled for 2012 (Casual Anarchy & DIG). With a wealth of accolades both critical (NM Music Award Nomination 2009, NM Music Showcase Best Hip Hop Award) and popular (Weekly Alibi’s Best Albums of the Year 2008, Weekly Alibi’s Best of Burque Hip Hop 2008), the 2bers have shared the stage with the likes of Arrested Development, Sage Francis, Hieroglyphics and George Clinton. From high quality production and samples to “live” quality instrumentation and performance, the 2bers have built a do-it-all, do-it-yourself model that has set the trend for New Mexico’s unique brand of Hip Hop for over 11 years.
